The atlas / Terms
A featured spot is the top position on one country board, in one genre, for 7 days. It is not a position on the worldwide map and not a position in any other country or genre. It begins when your payment confirms and ends 7 days later.
The featured spot is bought. It is marked as paid on the public board, on every page it appears on. Everything else on the site is ordered by reader clicks, and no payment changes those. We label the two differently because you and the reader are both entitled to know which is which.
Somebody else can take the featured spot before your 7 days are up by paying more. If that happens, the days you have not used are returned to you as credit at full value, and we email you a link to spend it. That link is how we confirm the credit is yours, so treat it as private.
Credit is not a cash refund. It can be spent on any featured spot on this site, on this book or another one. It does not expire for 90 days from the date it is issued. Payments are otherwise final: we do not refund a spot you have changed your mind about, because the position was live and delivering clicks while you held it.
All prices are in US dollars. A free spot costs $5. Taking a spot someone holds costs more than they paid. The asking price decays back toward the floor across the week, so it cannot ratchet upward indefinitely, and there is a hard ceiling of $500. The price you are charged is the price shown on the confirmation screen.
The book must be a real, published book that you have the right to promote, and the retailer link must work. Links you give us must be plain product pages: links carrying tracking codes, affiliate tags or sponsored placements are refused. We may end a featured spot without refund for a listing that is not a book, is not yours, or breaks the law where our readers are. If we end a spot for any other reason, the unused days come back as credit in the usual way.
Click counts are deduplicated by reader and by hour, and obvious automated traffic is discarded. We report the number we believe is real, not the raw number.
Some links to booksellers earn us a commission at no extra cost to the reader. This is disclosed in the footer of every page. Commission never affects ranking.
We use it for your receipt, to tell you when someone has taken the spot from you, and to tell you when your week is ending. We do not sell it and we do not send marketing you have not asked for.
You are buying from the business that runs Booklaunch.live, established in Spain. Payment is processed by Stripe, which handles the card but is not the seller. The charge on your statement is from Booklaunch.live.
Prices shown are what you pay: they include VAT where it is due. Your receipt shows the amount and the rate applied. If you are a business with a valid EU VAT number and need a reverse-charge invoice, contact us before you buy.
